How does the user start chatting on Track-ur-Mate?

A user can start chatting by sending the keyword 'CHAT' to 54666 and following the instructions received as a reply.

I am unable to Register. I keep getting a message Invalid Keyword.

In order to register successfully, you will need to send the keywords in the correct format. The format to be followed is REG<space><NICKNAME><space><AGE><space><GENDER> e.g. REG Mike 25 M

Sometimes, when I send CHAT to 54666, I get charged. Sometimes, I just get some people to chat with.

If an user with an active subscription sends CHAT to 54666, you will receive search results of people you can chat with. If the user's subscription has expired, then the account will be renewed.

How can I send a message to a person?

You can send a message to any person by typing TXT <NICKNAME OF THE PERSON YOU WANT TO SEND A MESSAGE TO> <YOUR MESSAGE> to 54666. For instance, if you want to send a message "HI" a user with a nickname Angel4u, you can send TXT ANGEL4U Hi.

Do I have to always type the full nickname to send a message?

No. If you want to chat with a user regularly, you can just add him/her to your buddy list for easy access. Once you add your buddy to your buddy list, you will receive a code for that buddy and you can just replace the NICKNAME with the CODE while sending the message. For instance, if your buddy's code is 104, you can send a message to him/her by typing TXT 103 Hi.

How can I find people to chat with?

You can find new friends by typing FIND <AGE> <GENDER>. For example, if you want to find female friends around 26 years of age, you can send FIND 25 F.

I am only seeing 3-4 people, how can I see more?

When you receive the response for FIND, you can see more people of the same criteria by sending MORE as a reply. E.g. MORE

Why am I getting a message that my subscription has expired?

You will receive this message when your subscription period has expired. You can renew your subscription by sending CHAT to the specified short code.

I am already an existing user, but I get a message that I am new user?

Typically, all registrations are tied to a mobile number. If you have recently changed your mobile number, you will need to register again with the new number.

I have recently changed my number, can I port all my buddies from my old number to the new number.

Due to security issues, at this point of time, this feature cannot be provided.

Can I receive a message from a buddy whom I have blocked?

No, once you a block a buddy, you will not receive any messages from that buddy.

Can I send a message to a buddy that I have blocked?

No, if you try to send a message to a buddy that you have blocked, you will receive a notification informing you about the same.

Can I block a buddy who is already on my buddy list?

Yes, you can. Buddy list has been designed only for your convenience of not having to type the nickname again and again. If you block a user, you will not receive messages from that user even though he/she is on your buddy list.

Can I remove a buddy from my buddy list?

Yes, you can remove a buddy from your buddy list by sending REMOVE <3 digit code of your buddy>.

How do I block a buddy?

You can block a buddy by typing BLOCK <NICKNAME OF THE BUDDY TO BE BLOCKED> and sending to the short code.

How do I see the buddies that I have unblocked?

You can see your blocked list by sending UNBLOCK to the short code. Once you send this keyword, you will received an SMS with the list of people blocked by you.

How do I unblock a user?

You can unblock a user by sending UNBLOCK <NICKNAME of the user to be unblocked> to the short code.

How do I unregister myself from the service completely?

You can unregister yourself from the service by sending Deact chatser to the short code. You will receive a confirmation message to which you will have to reply with CONFIRM.

Please note that unregistering yourself from the service might result in you losing the nickname forever since some other person might take it.
